Petit Bourgeois Sauvignon Blanc
£11.99, O'Brien's
A great name for a very attractive white wine from Chavignol. The region is better known as the home of the crottins, miniature fresh goat's cheeses wich, asit happens, are utterly delicious with this wine. Nettles, asparagus, green peppers. It's a grassy, zesty, almost austerely fresh and lively wine.

Petit Bourgeois Sauvignon Blanc 2013
An attractive fresh light crisp aromatic Sauvignon : a little drier than the Marlborough style, but perfect on its own as an aperitif of with seafood and salad dishes. Henri Bourgeois is one of the top producers in Sancerre, with a string of excellent soil or vineyard specific wines. His entry-level Sauvignon and Pinot Noir Rosé usually offer good value.
